| Step One: Squeeze prongs of new quick-connect plug together slightly and pull plug core from casing. Cut old plug from flat-cord wire using combination tool, leaving a clean-cut end. |
Step Two: Feed unstripped flat-cord wire through rear of plug casing. Spread prongs, then insert wire into opening in rear of core. Squeeze prongs together; spikes inside core penetrate cord to make contact with copper wires. Slide casing over plug core until core snaps into place. |

Always twist loose strands of bare copper wire together before making connections.
Always check cord when replacing plug and replace if it is worn or damaged.
When replacing a polarized plug (one prong is wider than the other) always line up the ridged half of the flat cord with the wide prong.

Make certain all connections are tight before plugging in. Do not make any adjustments once plug has been inserted into receptacle.
