| Step One: Cut off old plug using combination tool. Strip outer insulation from round cord. Strip outer insulation from round cord. Strip about 3/4 inch of insulation from individual wires. Remove insulating faceplate from new plug. Feed cord through rear of new plug. |
Step Two: Tie underwriter's knot in black and white wires. Use needlenose pliers to hook copper end of the black wire clockwise around the brass screw, and white wire around silver screw. On 3prong plug, attach third wire to ground screw. |

| Step Three: Tighten screws securely, making sure copper wires do not touch each other. Replace insulating faceplate. If plug has cord clamp, tighten clamp screws securely. |
